Truffles have been fascinating the global elite ever since ancient times and nowadays they are considered to be one of the most exquisite and exotic ingredients in high cuisine in Europe and all over the world. Asian culinary traditions go far beyond of just the flavor and taste of food – in China, truffles have always been valued for their powerful medicinal qualities, and believed to give longevity, fertility and vigor to ones who eat them.

Holding a major in Business Administration from the University of Yunnan and having some experience in business let me see the current situation in the market: while Chinese truffles and mushrooms are in high demand all over the world, foreign buyers face a lot of difficulties dealing with mushroom sellers in China.

As a person from new generation of businessmen, I realize the importance of creating strong  and mutually beneficial relationships, based on trust, both with potential clients from the West and local mushroom growers here, in China. This idea served as the foundation for creating Kunming Truffles and Mushrooms, the company that combines both respect and knowledge of ancient traditions of China with Western approach.

We started our company in 2010, in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan province, which unique geographical location and soil structure create the perfect environment for growing truffles and mushrooms of extra-high quality.
